REGULATORY COMPLIANCE & ENFORCEMENT COUNCIL

Membership Requirements

Membership to the RCEC is open to individuals employed with an agency that enforces Federal or Provincial Legislation; or Municipal By-Laws enacted within Canada.

The categories of membership of the Council shall consist of the following:

Active Member

Active Member: An active member is an individual with full voting privileges who:

 

(i)  is employed with an agency that enforces Federal Statutes; or Provincial Legislation; or Municipal By-laws or codes; enacted within Canada;

(ii)  is employed with an agency that supports the regulatory compliance or enforcement community through inspection, investigation, or prosecution of any legislation enacted within Canada;

(iii)  is employed in a role directly involved in, or in a supporting role, of the regulatory compliance or enforcement community

(iv)  is not employed with an agency, or in a role as defined in paragraphs (i), (ii), (iii), but has been so employed within the preceding 12 months prior to applying for membership. The onus is upon the applicant to provide the Board with any supporting information that the Board deems necessary to establish employment history and good character.

(v)  has paid the dues established by the Board and is in good standing.

Honorary Member

International Member: A member is an individual without voting privileges who:

(i)  is employed with an agency that supports the regulatory compliance or enforcement community through inspection, and investigation, of any legislation enacted outside of Canada.

(ii)  has paid the dues established by the Board and is in good standing.

Affiliate Member

Honorary Member: An Honorary Member is an individual without voting privileges who:

(i)  has been granted honorary membership by resolution of the Board, in recognition of outstanding service to the Council, or to the industry.

(ii)  is not required to pay the dues established by the Board.
